*Participating in the races which are part of the “Peshtani Extreme Vertical” event includes unconditional agreement to the terms, as well as to all of the instructions determined by the race Organiser and Director. Kids’ race is at the participants’ own responsibility; the parent/legal guardian signs a paper of agreement for the child to participate when picking up the starter pack and the Organiser does not take responsibility in case of an accident.
For safety reasons and in order for the race to be conducted without any obstacles, the participants must have suitable equipment. It is important to know that the equipment required by the Organiser is the necessary minimum, but each participant needs to adapt it to their own needs. That is why the Organiser determines a list of recommended equipment that each participant needs to have during the race.
The participants will be informed of the weather conditions during the week before the race takes place. Up until then, the conditions on Galichica can be checked by clicking on the button below.
Any participant can cancel during the race if he faces any problems, and he should inform the Organizer about his cancellation. The descent of the participants to the village of Peshtani in the Vertical Kilometer race will take place along a marked route, different from that of climbing. The descent route will be clearly marked, and it will also be sent by email to the participants. It is recommended the participants to be grouped in a groups of several people for a joint descent to the village of Peshtani. Also, the organizer will have his own people with whom the competitors, as a group, could go down to the village of Peshtani. This information refers to the Vertical Kilometer race that takes place on Saturday. As for the Bajrace trail race, it finishes in the center of the village of Peshtani.
Since the race route is traced in the mountains under peculiar geographical conditions, it is almost impossible to cheer the participants along the track. All of the supporters can greet the participants after the race ends in Peshtani village, where the whole ceremony will be held. Still, anyone who’d like to support the competitors will be able to do that at specifically determined points along the track.
The paths will be marked with white and blue stripes, flags and direction arrows. Tracks can be downloaded in .gpx format on our website to use as navigation on your phones and watches. WARNING: Do not rely strictly on data from GPS watches or smart phones during the race as there may be deviations from the actual path conditions.
The Organiser retains the right to change these terms at any time if there are valid reasons for a better race organisation. Every change which affects the race key elements will be announced on the event’s official web page.
